Summer Reading Challenge

'I’d say to other parents that sharing a book with your child can be a really special time together. The Summer Reading Challenge™ will help you find books they’ll be interested in. And it’s all free – it doesn’t cost anything to join your local library and take out a book'

Ninety-seven percent of libraries in the UK are involved in the Summer Reading Challenge™ every year.

The TRF website provides you with information, interactive elearning tools and networking facilities to help you run a successful Summer Reading Challenge in your library service.

The 2009 Summer Reading Challenge will be the 11th annual challenge. The Readng Agency will be inviting children all over the UK to embark on a fantastical adventure and become a Questseeker.

Why not use the Summer Reading Challenge as the focus activity for whole service TRF training, as Barnsley and Doncaster Libraries did? Have a look at TRF: The Training Programme to find out more.
